SHELTER is definitely a rec from me. You will not regret the 6 minutes spent watching it and daresay the story is quite good compared to other anime (whom I will not mention) that required a whole season to create for a measly storyline. The graphics are amazing, the kind that you’d love to have on your background. It’s quite a refreshing piece of work and the music is catchy. Just watch Shelter please, also you can read up on my mini spoiler below if you really want to.

The story in itself left me wondering about it for days. It must have been a pretty lonely existence. I mean, one could go insane over the time spent in isolation. This music video should have a sequel because I’m still thinking about what’s going to happen to her next? What would run out first that would be the cause of her death? Still, so many questions yet to be answered.

The people who created this deserve an applaud. Porter Robinson was the one who created the story alongside with Madeon for the music. Toshihumi Akai is the storyboard animation director and character design drawing director credits to Megumi Kouno.

SPOILER BELOW

Shelter is a story about a teenage girl floating around in space for 2539 days (and counting) waiting for someone to reach out to her. Every day she creates her own world using futuristic simulation with only a teddy bear for company. The music video tells the story of how the events came to place. Also, we get to see several recollections of her father, her life and the things that she loved most including places and memories. It was her father that created the spaceship for her so she could escape the apocalypse. If that did not clench at your heart, nothing will.
