An Ibis tried to steal my burger today.
I was sitting by myself savoring the Angus burger meal I got from mcD’s when a burger hunter was observing from afar. The burger was mouthwatering and savory with all its beefy goodness that it took me only a couple of mouthfuls to finish it halfway. I put the morsel down for a sip of coke.
When all of a sudden, the thief jumped from across the table and swooped down on my heart melting piece of meat!
My reflexes sprang and like a hawk I just impulsively grabbed on its head. I looked down and was completely aghast at the once beautiful masterpiece showered with love. I started to notice that there were so many eyes looking at me.
I was still holding the burger thief. It was flapping its wings like crazy and its beak was ready to gouge my eyes out.
I involuntarily tried to squeeze its head out of anger like a parent admonishing a child.
It took me half minute to realize that I may have done something crazy.
I let go of the bin chicken.
People were looking at me with their mouths wide open in astonishment because I’m pretty sure they would have never thought of seeing a smol asian lady with a mouthful of burger holding an ibis by the head today.
And now I am here to tell you my story and the what was once a beautiful angus burger meal in question now ruined by the proboscis of a beak of a bin chicken.
I lost my appetite and went home ruminating on the day’s events. I’ve always wanted to touch one but never thought I’d get the opportunity to actually grab onto one by its head.
I guess this was what they talked about in the land down under. Hello and welcome to my adventures in Australia!
Moral lesson:
NOBODY STEALS FOOD FROM A HANGRY ASIAN WOMAN.
